Quick Actions help you contact, message, email, navigate to, or share a saved connection directly from Connecti5. Instead of copying contact details manually, you can use one-tap actions from a contact card, map marker, contact detail screen, or connections list.
Use this guide when you want to quickly call someone, send a message, open WhatsApp, email a contact, navigate to their location, or share contact information.
What this page helps you do
This guide helps you understand what Quick Actions are, where they appear, which contact details are required for each action, why some actions may not work, and how to fix common issues with calling, messaging, email, WhatsApp, navigation, and sharing.
When should you use Quick Actions?
Use Quick Actions when you already have a saved connection and want to take immediate action from that contact’s details.
This is useful when:
You want to call a contact without opening your phonebook.
You want to send SMS or WhatsApp quickly.
You want to email a saved business contact.
You want to navigate to a contact’s saved address.
You want to share a contact’s details with someone else.
You want to act directly from the map after finding a nearby connection.
If you first need to find a contact by location, use View Contacts on the Map or Find Nearby Contacts. If you want directions to one specific contact inside the app, use Plan a Route to a Contact.
Where Quick Actions appear
Quick Actions can appear in different places depending on where you open the contact from.
You may see Quick Actions when:
You tap a contact marker on the map.
You open a contact from the connections list.
You open a contact detail screen.
You use the map bottom sheet after selecting a contact.
You access action buttons from a saved connection card.
The developer analysis confirms that Quick Actions are available from contact detail screens, map marker bottom sheets, and connection list actions.
Available Quick Actions
Call
The Call action lets you call the saved phone number of a contact.
This works only when the contact has a valid phone number. If the phone number is missing or invalid, the call action may not work.
The developer analysis notes that the call action uses direct dialing, so it may start the call directly instead of only opening the dialer screen.
SMS
The SMS action opens your device’s default messaging app with the contact’s phone number.
This works only when the contact has a valid mobile number.
The WhatsApp action opens WhatsApp for the selected contact if WhatsApp is installed and the number is usable.
If WhatsApp is not installed, the app may redirect you to the app store or fail to open WhatsApp.
The Email action opens your default email app with the contact’s email address.
This works only when the contact has a valid email address and your device has an email app configured.
Navigate
The Navigate action opens a map app with the contact’s location for directions.
This works only when the contact has valid address, latitude and longitude, or map location information.
Share
The Share action lets you share contact details such as name, company, phone, and address.
This action may depend on subscription permission. The developer analysis confirms that sharing contact details requires the shareContactInfo permission from the user’s subscription plan.
How to use Quick Actions
Follow these steps to use Quick Actions:
- Open the Connecti5 app.
- Open the map or connections list.
- Select the contact you want to use.
- Open the contact card or contact detail screen.
- Choose the action you want to take, such as Call, SMS, WhatsApp, Email, Navigate, or Share.
- Allow permission if your device asks for it.
- Complete the action in the phone, messaging, email, WhatsApp, or map app.
The available buttons may change depending on the contact details saved for that person.
Before you start
Before using Quick Actions, check whether the contact has the required information.
For calling, SMS, or WhatsApp, the contact must have a valid phone number.
For email, the contact must have a valid email address.
For navigation, the contact must have a valid location or address.
For sharing, your subscription plan may need to allow contact sharing.
You should also make sure the related apps are installed and working on your device.
What happens after using a Quick Action?
After tapping a Quick Action, Connecti5 may open the related app or service.
For example:
Call may start a phone call.
SMS may open your messaging app.
WhatsApp may open a WhatsApp chat.
Email may open your email app.
Navigate may open Google Maps or Apple Maps.
Share may open your device’s share sheet.
The action depends on the saved contact data and your device setup.
Quick Actions from the map
Quick Actions are especially useful when you are using the map.
For example, you can open View Contacts on the Map, tap a contact marker, and immediately call, message, or navigate to that person.
This helps when you are travelling, attending an event, or trying to reach someone nearby without searching manually through your phonebook.
Quick Actions and contact data quality
Quick Actions only work properly when contact data is accurate.
If a phone number is saved incorrectly, call or WhatsApp may fail.
If an email address is missing, email action may not appear or may not work.
If address or coordinates are incorrect, navigation may open the wrong location.
If details were imported from Excel, phonebook, or business card scanning, review the saved contact before relying on Quick Actions.
Common problems and fixes
Call button is not working
Check whether the contact has a valid phone number.
Also check whether your device allows phone calling and whether required call permission is enabled for Connecti5.
Call starts directly
This may be expected behavior. The call action can directly dial the contact number instead of opening the dialer first.
Use this action carefully because it may start a call immediately.
WhatsApp is not opening
Check whether WhatsApp is installed on your device.
Also confirm that the saved phone number is valid and includes the correct country code. If the number is incomplete, WhatsApp may not find the contact.
Email is not opening
Check whether the contact has a valid email address.
Also make sure your device has an email app installed and configured.
Navigation opens the wrong place
The saved contact location may be incorrect.
Open the contact details and check the address, coordinates, or map URL. If needed, update the contact location manually.
Navigation does not open
Check whether the contact has valid location data.
Also make sure Google Maps, Apple Maps, or another supported map app is available on your device.
Share option is blocked
The Share Contact action may require a subscription plan with contact sharing permission.
If the app shows a subscription popup, check your current plan or upgrade if needed.
SMS opens but number is wrong
The saved mobile number may be incorrect or may have the wrong country code.
Edit the contact and correct the phone number before using SMS again.
Social media links are not opening
If social profile links are saved for a contact, the app may try to open the installed social app first and then fall back to a web link.
If the native app is not installed or the link is incorrect, the action may not open correctly.
Error messages you may see
You may see messages such as:
“Invalid phone number,” “Error making phone call,” or a subscription popup when trying to share contact details.
These messages usually mean that required contact data is missing, the saved number is invalid, the device could not start the action, or your current plan does not allow the selected action.
Important limitations
Quick Actions depend on saved contact data. If a required field is missing, that action may not work.
Direct call may start the phone call immediately.
WhatsApp works only when WhatsApp is installed and the phone number is valid.
Email requires a valid email address and an email app configured on the device.
Navigation requires valid location data and may open an external map app.
Share Contact may require subscription permission.
WhatsApp may apply default country-code handling for some numbers, so saving the correct country code is important. The developer analysis notes that 10-digit WhatsApp numbers may default to India’s country code in the current flow.
Still need help?
If Quick Actions are not working, contact Connecti5 support or send feedback from the app.
When reporting the issue, share your registered email or mobile number, which action you tried, whether the contact has the required phone, email, or location details, the error message you saw, your device name, app version, and a screenshot or short screen recording if possible.
Do not share private contact information publicly. Share details only through official support if required.
