Pinned Contacts & Shortlist helps you keep important connections easier to access inside Connecti5. Instead of searching through your full network every time, you can mark selected contacts as important and quickly reach them when needed.
Use this guide when you want to save key contacts, access favorites faster, understand the difference between pinned, wishlist, and shortlist behavior, or fix issues when saved contacts do not appear as expected.
What this page helps you do
This guide helps you understand how to use pinned contacts and shortlist, how important contacts appear in Connecti5, how to remove contacts from the list, why some saved contacts may not sync, and what to do if your shortlist looks empty.
When should you use Pinned Contacts & Shortlist?
Use this feature when you have contacts that you reach often or do not want to lose inside a large network.
This is useful when:
You want quick access to important business contacts.
You want to keep regular clients, vendors, partners, or team members easy to find.
You want to highlight selected contacts on the map.
You want a separate list of people you contact frequently.
You want to avoid searching again and again for the same people.
If you want to narrow contacts by category or tag, use Filter Your Contacts. If you want to call, message, email, or navigate to a saved contact, use Quick Actions.
How Pinned Contacts & Shortlist works
Connecti5 may use two related systems for important contacts: a local wishlist and a server-side shortlist. Both are used to help you access important connections faster, but their behavior may be different.
The developer analysis confirms that Connecti5 has a Wishlist flow and a My Shortlist flow. Wishlist can be local, while Shortlist is server-side and can persist across devices.
This difference is important because a contact saved in one place may not behave exactly the same as a contact saved in the other.
Wishlist vs Shortlist
Wishlist
Wishlist is used to save selected contacts locally for quick access.
A local wishlist may be stored on the device. This means it may not always sync across devices and may be lost if the app is reinstalled or local app data is cleared.
Shortlist
Shortlist is used to save important contacts on the server side.
A server-side shortlist can remain available even when you log in from another device, depending on the app flow and account sync.
The developer analysis confirms that Wishlist is local and Shortlist is server-side. It also notes that server-side shortlist supports pagination, search, pull-to-refresh, and unfavorite actions.
How to view pinned contacts or shortlist
Follow these steps to view important saved contacts:
- Open the Connecti5 app.
- Go to Settings or the section where My Shortlist is available.
- Open Pinned Contacts, Wishlist, or My Shortlist, depending on what appears in your app.
- Review the saved contact cards.
- Tap a contact to view more details.
- Use available actions such as call, direction, share, or view full details.
- Remove a contact from the list if it is no longer important.
The exact label may differ based on app version, but the purpose is the same: helping you access important contacts faster.
How to add a contact to shortlist or pinned list
You can usually add a contact to shortlist or favorites from a contact card, contact detail screen, or map marker.
Follow this general flow:
- Open the contact you want to save as important.
- Look for a favorite, pin, handshake, heart, or shortlist action.
- Tap the action to save the contact.
- Check the shortlist or pinned contacts section.
- Confirm that the contact appears there.
If the contact does not appear immediately, refresh the page or reopen the shortlist section.
What details appear in the list?
Depending on the screen, saved contact cards may show details such as:
Contact name Company name Category Phone number Address Profile image Call action Direction action Share action View details action
The available details depend on what information is saved for that contact.
Pinned contacts on the map
Important contacts may appear visually different on the map. For example, they may use special marker colors or highlighted markers so you can identify them faster.
This helps when you are using View Contacts on the Map or Find Nearby Contacts and want to quickly recognize important people.
The developer analysis confirms that pinned contacts can have custom colored markers on the map.
Searching your shortlist
If your shortlist has many contacts, use the search option if available.
Search by name or company to find a specific shortlisted contact faster.
If search returns no result, check spelling or clear the search field to view the full list again.
Removing a contact from shortlist
If a contact is no longer important, you can remove it from the shortlist or wishlist.
Follow these steps:
- Open Pinned Contacts & Shortlist.
- Find the contact you want to remove.
- Tap the remove, unfavorite, handshake, or delete action.
- Confirm if the app asks.
- Check that the contact is removed from the list.
Removing a contact from shortlist does not necessarily delete the contact from your full Connecti5 network. It only removes that contact from the important or saved list.
Clearing all wishlist contacts
In some flows, you may have an option to clear all wishlist contacts.
Use this carefully. If the wishlist is local, clearing it may remove all locally saved important contacts from that device.
If you only want to remove one contact, use the remove action on that contact instead of clearing the full list.
Common problems and fixes
My shortlist is empty
This usually means you have not added any contacts to the shortlist yet.
Open a contact and mark it as favorite, pinned, or shortlisted. Then return to the shortlist screen and refresh.
I added a contact but it is not showing
Refresh the shortlist screen or reopen the app.
If the contact was added to a local wishlist, check whether you are viewing the same wishlist section. If it was added to server-side shortlist, make sure your internet connection is active.
Wishlist disappeared after reinstall
This can happen if wishlist data is stored locally on the device.
A local wishlist may not survive app reinstall, clearing app data, or device change.
Shortlist is visible on one device but not another
Check whether you are looking at Wishlist or server-side Shortlist.
Local wishlist may be device-specific, while server-side shortlist is more likely to sync with your account.
I removed a contact by mistake
Open the contact from your main connections list and add it to the shortlist again.
If you cleared all wishlist contacts, you may need to add important contacts again manually.
Call button is not working from shortlist
Check whether the contact has a valid phone number.
If the number is missing or invalid, open the contact details and update the phone number.
Direction button is not working
Direction needs valid address or location details.
If the contact has no location information, update the contact using Add a Connection Manually or edit the saved location if available.
Share action is blocked
Sharing a contact may require subscription permission. If a subscription message appears, check your current plan and feature access.
Search is not finding a shortlisted contact
Make sure the contact is actually in the shortlist. Also check whether you are searching by the saved name or company name.
Clear the search field to view all shortlisted contacts again.
Error or empty messages you may see
You may see messages such as:
“No wishlisted contacts,” “Tap heart icon to add contacts to wishlist,” “No Short Listed Connections,” “Your favorites will appear here,” “Removed from wishlist,” “Removed from shortlist,” “Failed to load favorites,” or “Clear Wishlist?”
These messages usually mean the list is empty, a contact was removed, the app could not load saved favorites, or you are about to clear locally saved wishlist contacts.
Important limitations
Wishlist may be local and may not sync across devices.
Local wishlist data can be lost after app reinstall or clearing app data.
Shortlist is server-side and can persist across devices.
Removing a contact from shortlist does not delete the contact from your full network.
Map highlight depends on the contact being saved as pinned, favorite, or shortlisted in the supported flow.
Quick actions from shortlist depend on saved contact data such as phone number, email, or location.
Share contact may require subscription permission.
Still need help?
If your pinned contacts, wishlist, or shortlist is not working as expected, contact Connecti5 support or send feedback from the app.
When reporting the issue, share your registered email or mobile number, whether you are using Wishlist or My Shortlist, the contact name if relevant, what action you tried, your device name, app version, and a screenshot if possible.
