Edit Your Profile helps you update your basic Connecti5 profile details from the Settings section. You can use this page when you want to change your display name, update your profile photo, or check the email and phone number linked with your account.
Use this guide when your profile details are outdated, your profile photo is missing, or you want to understand which profile fields can be edited from the app.
What this page helps you do
This guide helps you understand how to open your profile from Settings, update your name, change your profile picture, understand read-only account fields, and fix common issues when profile updates do not save.
When should you edit your profile?
Edit your profile when your visible account details need to be updated.
This is useful when:
You want to update your display name.
You want to replace your profile picture.
You want your profile details to look correct before sharing your profile.
You want to check which email and phone number are connected to your account.
You want your updated details to appear correctly in profile-related features such as ConnectLink, Share Digital Profile, or Connecti5 NFC Card.
If you are setting up your account for the first time, use Set Up Your Profile. This page is mainly for users who already have an account and want to edit profile details later from Settings.
What you can edit
From the profile screen, you can usually edit:
Your name Your profile picture
Your registered email address and phone number may be visible, but they are read-only from this screen. The developer analysis confirms that the Profile screen shows username, email, and phone, but email and phone are read-only fields.
How to edit your profile
Follow these steps to edit your profile:
- Open the Connecti5 app.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Edit Your Profile or the profile option.
- Wait for your current profile details to load.
- Update your name if needed.
- Tap the profile picture area if you want to change your image.
- Select a new image from your gallery.
- Review the updated details.
- Tap Update to save changes.
- Wait for the success message.
After the update is complete, your new profile details should appear in the app.
Before you start
Before editing your profile, make sure your internet connection is active and you are logged in to the correct Connecti5 account.
If you want to change your profile picture, allow photo or gallery access if the app asks for permission.
Connecti5 currently uses gallery selection for profile picture updates. The developer analysis notes that camera capture was removed from this profile flow for Google Play compliance, so the user selects images from the gallery instead.
Updating your profile name
Your profile name should clearly represent you. Use your real name or professional display name so other people can recognize you when your profile is shared.
When updating the name, make sure it is not empty and does not exceed the allowed character limit.
Avoid unnecessary symbols, emojis, or text that may make your profile look unclear.
Updating your profile picture
Your profile picture helps make your account easier to recognize.
Use a clear image, professional photo, or recognizable identity image. If you use Connecti5 for business networking, choose an image that looks appropriate when your profile is shared.
If the image does not upload, try a smaller or clearer image and check your internet connection.
Why email and phone number are read-only
Your email and phone number are connected with account access, OTP login, and account identification. Because of this, they may not be editable directly from the profile screen.
If your registered email or phone number is incorrect, contact support and explain what needs to be changed.
Why the Update button may not activate
The Update button may only work when changes are detected.
If you open the profile screen and do not change anything, the app may show a message such as “No changes to update.”
To save an update, change your name or select a new profile picture first.
What happens after editing your profile?
After saving, Connecti5 updates your profile details on the server and refreshes your profile screen.
Your updated profile details may also be reflected in other profile-related areas, depending on how the app uses your profile data.
For example, your updated name or profile image may help keep ConnectLink, Share Digital Profile, and Web Profile consistent.
Common problems and fixes
Profile details are not loading
Check your internet connection and reopen the profile screen.
If the issue continues, log out and log in again, then try opening the profile page.
Name field is empty
Name is required. Add a valid name before tapping Update.
Name is too short
Use a name with at least two characters.
If you are using initials only, the app may not accept it depending on validation rules.
Name is too long
Use a shorter display name. Very long names may not be accepted.
Update button says no changes to update
This means you have not changed your name or profile picture.
Make an actual change, then tap Update again.
Profile picture is not uploading
Check your internet connection and try again.
If the selected image is too large or invalid, choose a different image from your gallery.
Gallery is not opening
Check whether photo or gallery permission is allowed for Connecti5.
Open your phone settings, find Connecti5, and allow photo access.
Permission is permanently denied
If permission was permanently denied, the app may not be able to ask again.
Open your phone settings manually and enable photo or gallery access for Connecti5.
Email cannot be edited
This is expected behavior. Email is read-only from the profile screen.
Contact support if your registered email needs correction.
Phone number cannot be edited
This is also expected behavior. Phone number is read-only from the profile screen.
Contact support if your registered phone number needs correction.
Profile update is taking too long
Profile picture upload may take time on slower internet.
Wait for the update to complete. If it fails, try again with a stable connection.
Error messages you may see
You may see messages such as:
“Name is required,” “Name must be at least 2 characters,” “Name must not exceed 100 characters,” “No changes to update,” “Profile updated successfully,” “Permission required to access camera/photos,” “Invalid image,” “Request timeout,” “Network error,” or “No profile data.”
These messages usually mean required profile data is missing, no changes were made, permission is denied, the image is invalid, or the app could not connect to the server.
Important limitations
Only your name and profile picture can be updated from this screen.
Email and phone number are read-only.
Profile picture selection uses gallery access.
Camera capture may not be available in this profile edit flow.
Company logo upload code may exist, but it is hidden from the visible profile UI according to the developer analysis, so it should not be treated as a normal user-facing profile edit option unless it appears in the live app.
Profile changes require internet access to save successfully.
Still need help?
If you cannot edit your profile, contact Connecti5 support or send feedback from the app.
When reporting the issue, share your registered email or mobile number, which field you were trying to update, the exact error message, whether gallery permission is enabled, your device name, app version, and a screenshot if possible.
Do not share private account details publicly. Share sensitive information only through official support when required.
